Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett fails to impress with Reddit AMA
The controversy around Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett's Reddit AMA is all the talk in the League of Legends e-sports scene right now. Reddit's thread format AMA ("Ask Me Anything") usually involves a figure of public interest answering questions in written format. Famous AMAs were e.g. Microsoft founder Bill Gates' or former US president Barack Obama's. Unfortunately Dardoch's behaviour in the whole affair was more that unlucky, as he just opened the thread on Reddit without actually answering any questions. Instead the answers were presented on YouTube in a five and a half minute long video. This angered the League of Legends fan base, as the monetisation of the content was now taken away from Reddit and brought to a direct social media competitor.
In the end the community answered by heavily interacting with this mocking Reddit thread. Echo Fox, Dardoch's team and employer, fell short to release a statement.
